John Hunter's winning striper, caught on Saturday, November 20th, 2004 officially weighed in at 41.25 lbs at the Sportsmen YC scales and for the Bethel Island Striper Derby.

They said it would never happen but here is proof positive: John's sturgeon is in first place over Carol's!

John & Carol Hunter received their Life Membership Award at the
April 2017 General Meeting. Presentation was by Vice Commodore Babo.
 

John was the skipper of the vessel "Carol J", a 27' Carver.
Many a nice fish were caught from this boat, especially by Carol, a great Sturgeon fisherperson.

John was an Electrician and an I.B.E.W. Union Official.
